This plugin suffers a bit in landing logic as it truly cannot judge if an event is below consistently if positioned just right you attempt a landing on the events which leads to a hang blank events seem worse of a culprit. after recovery the steering breaks you are forced to fly straight until you can land and board again to reset. also the force forward bug does tend to happen randomly. probably due to calling choices while flying. Vis Stella EMC 8Dir breaks flight which is avoidable through conditional plugin command disable 8dir while in airship. their core requires a forced check modification which lets UM7 have control under UM7 mode their graphical mods break UM7 for obvious reason. Plus EMC's shadows are not aligned under UM7 for good reason as um7 and Stella are not working together and X,Y are 1 block off even if forced to run under a bridge or hard Edits still this was avoided by removing shadows on while UM7 maps without some more modification probably best solution. most of which mentioned is not your fault just figured i would share from testing on what i learned from testing. the landing issues happen with just UM7 and your plugin and not the fault of EMC or Stella core also i may add without your plugin the landing issue does not exist in UM7 alone. My thoughts is add a hard reset on failure so no lock out on steering if you so happen to land on a transition or blank parallel event, Overall cool plugin and i am far from a great tester so i could be wrong :) making this all run along side other plugins has been a fun 2 day experiment :)
Glad to see MauiGameStudio still around and to make such a cool plugin as well, thanks!
I come and go. I had a few weeks off and wanted to create some things I had been thinking about.
Think I just found a bug: When your plugin is on in my project, it messes up the way selections are made in the Show Choices dialogue box... It works perfectly fine when I'm using the mouse, but if I try to move up and down through my choices using the arrow keys, I can only highlight the odd choices -- the first, third, fifth, etc. It skips right over the even numbered choices, making it impossible to select choices 2, 4, 6, and so on. This doesn't happen with just the SAN Movement and Mode7 plugins turned on; It only happens with your airship plugin.
I think you have an old version of the plugin. I'll update this page to reflect when I update the plugin.
You're right -- just installed the updated version and now it works fine!
Is there anyway to make the world map normal (Not Mode 7) before you enter the airship?
Yes. Just set the Pitch (vertical view angle) in UltraMode7 plugin to 0 instead of 45. I would also recommend changing Base Scale Z to 1100. I also want to point out that what you are asking is not my intended design, so it will likely be a bit wonky.
